Last week saw the Love Island star announce that she is expecting her first child with Gary Lucy.
The pair met last year while on Celebs Go Dating, yet Gary shared that they have since broken up. However, they plan on co-parenting the child.
Days later, Gary explained the reason behind their split.
He told The Sun that Laura wanted him to move to Scotland, however, as he has family in England, this was complicated.
“Laura did want me to move but I have my responsibilities here,” he said. “I have four kids and all the things that go along with that so it’s very difficult, if not impossible, to uproot at this time.”
He continued: “Having gone through a divorce, my children need me, and living such a long way from them just would not be possible.
“I wish I could break myself in half. I would if I could.”

Gary then added that while his romantic relationship with Laura may be over, he still “thinks the world of her”.
Last week, after Laura shared the news that she is expecting her first child, Gary provided a relationship update.
He told The Sun: “I love Laura but we are no longer together. My main drive as always is to work together to co-parent our child. I look forward to the arrival of the new baby.”
Laura, who appeared on the 2018 season of Love Island, shared the news that she’s expecting earlier today with a video on Instagram.
The video documents her growing bump, pregnancy tests and hospital visits.
Her caption reads: “Our hearts are full (…) Baby Lucy due Summer ’23.”
