Great British Bake Off fans were devastated on Tuesday as the latest baker to leave the tent was confirmed.
In a quarter-final centred around "forgotten" British bakes, it was the show's youngest contestant, Liam Charles, who ultimately got axed.

The 19-year-old seemed to struggle in both the technical challenge and showstopper rounds in the popular baking series, which led to the judges' decision.

Liam took the news in stride, adding in his exit interview:
"Onwards and upwards. "It's not the end of me, it's just the beginning. "I'm coming for Paul Hollywood's job in a couple of years!"But fans watching the show at home weren't handling the news quite as well. https://twitter.com/WhovianDW/status/920384991124774912 https://twitter.com/rchrdpeake/status/920382470687772672 https://twitter.com/niamhhassell/status/920382500182126593 https://twitter.com/angelinaborys/status/920382053157289984 https://twitter.com/satoutside/status/920591168693469186 https://twitter.com/jmbalme/status/920559607864578048 https://twitter.com/Hartleyy15/status/920594898419638273 https://twitter.com/SarahKPower/status/920580118539620352 https://twitter.com/innocent/status/920384069699096576
