George Michael’s Partner Claims The Singer Died By Suicide

Tweets from Fadi Fawaz late last night have alleged that George Michael died by suicide on Christmas Day.

Fawaz, who was romantically linked to the late singer, said in a string of tweets that Michael made numerous attempts to take his own life. Fawaz wrote:

“The only thing George wanted is to die. He tried numbers of times to kill himself many times and finally he managed.”

“We loved each other very much and were together almost 24 hours a day.”

The tweets have since been deleted but screenshots of the messages were obtained by The Mirror. The account for Fadi Fawaz has been disabled.

Fans responded critically on Twitter, shaming Fawaz for revealing intimate details of Michael’s death.

A source close to the singer reveals that Michael’s mental health suffered after a 2011 battle with pneumonia left his voice too damaged to perform:

“Losing voice capacity for a man like him was like losing his inner self or his soul.”

“Things got so dark and difficult after it hit him. It tipped him over a psychological edge. George would never be the same man again – and more importantly, never be the same singer.”

The source also claimed Michael relied on drugs and alcohol.
