A Ukrainian girl, who was severely injured in an incident in Clare, has been moved to a Dublin hospital.
According to The Independent, she is still in a critical condition.
However, she is receiving “specialist treatment” at a Dublin hospital.
The young girl just started attending a local school weeks ago. Both she and her mother were staying at a centre for refugees after fleeing the war in Ukraine.
Emergency services were called to a house in Clarecastle before 8 am on September 28th.
They found the young girl and her mother at the scene. The woman, aged in her 40s, was unconscious when they found her.
They were both taken to University Hospital Limerick in a critical condition.
According to reports, the young girl suffered severe stab wounds.
Gardaí are now “investigating all the circumstances” following the horrifying incident.
