Late last night the news broke that Rachel Weisz has given birth at 48 – to a healthy baby girl. The actress and her husband, James Bond actor Daniel Craig, welcomed their first child together in New York City, where the pair are currently living.
The couple, who each have a child from previous relationships, got married in 2011, and are notoriously private about their personal lives. Which is no doubt why they have kept the details of the Weisz’ pregnancy a closely guarded secret, not publicly revealing the due date or the gender of the baby.
In fact, Rachel only spoke of her baby news once, revealing to the New York Times back in April that
‘Daniel and I are so happy. We’re going to have a little human. We can’t wait to meet him or her. It’s all such a mystery.’
