As you near the end of your pregnancy, you’d only be dying for baby to arrive – but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a shock if you go into labour early.
Glenda Gilson has revealed that she was in for a check-up with her doctor when her waters back in October, a fortnight out from her due date.
“Bobby came two weeks early,” she told Irish Country Magazine.
“I was literally only taking my time off from work and I went to see my doctor for a check up and my waters broke in the clinic.
“I was in the right place at least!”
Glenda took just a month off for her maternity leave before returning to work after giving birth to son Bobby, her and husband Rob McNaughten’s first child.
She was back shooting Ireland’s Got Mor Talent, which she fronts with social media star James Kavanagh, in November.
“Yes, Bobby was just over a month old but I had my mom and Rob looking after him and I had him at work with me at times so it was perfect.
“When I was working I was missing him but it’s funny how you get into the work zone for a few hours and I have my own little baby, as I was calling James on set with me!”
With filming now wrapped, Glenda is taking more time out to enjoy new motherhood.
