It’s going to be absolutely freezing this bank holiday weekend

Jade Hayden

Wrap up, boys, it’s about to get chilly.

If you’ve been even vaguely near the outside today, you’ll be more than well aware of how absolutely baltic it is.

Like, if you go out there in anything less than a full body ski-suit, you’re going to be feeling that chill all the way to your bones.

It’s horrific, it’s rude, and we are not fans of it at all.

And while we’ve already had word that the bank holiday is going to bring literal thunder and rain in some parts, temperatures are also going to drop a considerable amount – by up to 10 degrees in some places.

Grim enough.

According to Met Eireann, the drop begins today with temperatures hitting a max of 10 degrees throughout the day and dropping considerably to potential lows of zero during the night.

Tomorrow will be more of the same with the addition of showers and blustery winds. Temperatures will only reach between 5 and 8 degrees and will, again, drop towards the night time.

Sunday will have a frosty start overall with some clouds, some mist, and some light showers too. The night will see temperatures drop as low as minus 2 in some places, so if you’re planning on making the most of that sweet bank holiday Monday off, make sure you wrap up.

Please.
