This has got to be the funniest caller on Irish radio ever

Just try not to laugh.

Dermot and Dave from TodayFM can claim a lot of things – they have one of the best radio shows on Irish radio, they have a string of radio awards to their name, they have a very successful tour and are just all round nice guys.

Sorry, excuse me while I fangirl.

Now, they have something new to claim – they had the funniest caller of all time on their radio show. They invited Carina onto the show to tell her story.

What started out a giddy caller turned into radio gold. Carina, who wanted to be referred to as Ann, started off the call by laughing down the phone to Dermot and Dave’s surprise.

Then she said, “I can’t believe I’m going to admit this”, before launching into the funniest story about a date from when she was a teenager.

Let’s just say it involved copious amounts of Duberry Mist from the Body Shop and a very sick date. Let’s be honest, we’ve all had a spray or two of this in our day.

Not only did ‘Ann’ successfully tell her story and win some prizes, she also landed the funniest line of all the call right at the very end.
