A grandaughter’s Tweet about her grandfather has made him an overnight star the world over.
Kelsey Harmon from Oklahoma took to Twitter to voice her disappointment after her cousins didn’t show up for a planned dinner with their ‘Pawpaw’.
Kelsey wrote: ‘Dinner with papaw tonight… He made 12 burgers for all six grandkids and I’m the only one who showed. love him [sic].’
The accompanying photograph of her devastated grandfather eating a burger at his kitchen table left many Twitter users in tears, prompting an outpouring of love and support for everyone’s favourite Pawpaw… and a wave of shame on the no-show grandkids.

Twitter user @Allison_Wells said: “This breaks my heart. I’d do anything to eat dinner with my grandparents again,” while @Maadisondutton added “My heart wasn’t ready to read that.”
The story was shared so many times that Kelsey was forced to remind everybody her grandfather was absolutely fine and enjoying the fanfare…
