Trigger warning: you may find an image in this post distressing.

Posters bearing pro-life messages, including one showing an aborted foetus, appear to have been erected near a Dublin school.

A number of posters were spotted on Marlborough Street in the north inner city area of the capital today.

A photo of the posters, shared on Reddit this afternoon, shows one with the slogan “Abortion is child sacrifice”.

Other posters appear to show babies being thrown on a fire and a foetus “aborted at 22 weeks”.

Another has the slogan “Ireland’s next child abuse scandal might not be so easy to cover up”.

One poster bears a biblical passage from Jeremiah 19:5 that reads “And they have built the high places of Baalim, to burn their children for a holocaust to Baalim. I have never commanded such a horrible deed; it never even crossed my mind.”

The Reddit user said that they had seen the posters beside the LUAS tracks on Marlborough street across from Mary’s Pro Cathedral.

The photograph shows a banner for Scoil Chaoimhin next to the posters.

The primary school is also located on Marlborough Street.

It comes after similar posters were erected at College Green in the south city centre recently.
