‘Happy Days’ star Erin Moran has died at the age of 56

Actress Erin Moran, best known for her role as Joanie Cunningham in the 1970s sitcom Happy Days and the subsequent 1980s spin-off series Joanie Loves Chachi, has died at the age of 56.

Reports state that emergency services responded to a call at approximately 4PM on Saturday afternoon and found Ms Moran to be unresponsive. Although the cause of the Ms Moran's untimely death has not yet been released, the Daily Mail reports that the actress, who had been living in a trailer park in recent years, died of a suspected heroin overdose. Erin's Happy Days co-stars, director Ron Howard and actor Henry Winkler, were among the first to post tributes to the actress online.
