A harrowing loss.

The first victim of the Headford road accident will be laid to rest on Friday.

Tributes have been pouring in following the untimely deaths of Lucas Joyce (14) and Kirsty Bohan (14).

Kirsty Bohan will be laid to rest on Friday, April 14th.

Her heartbroken parents confirmed their daughter’s funeral service will take place in the Church of St Patrick and Cuana Corner Chapel. Kirsty will then be laid to rest in Donaghpatrick Cemetery.

She is survived by her heartbroken parents Christy and Theresa, and her sisters Martha and Ava.

Her friend Lucas Joyce was also killed in the single-vehicle collision in Headford, Galway.

Their school paid tribute to both Lucas and Kirsty following the harrowing accident.

Presentation College Headford said the school community is in shock.

“We have lost two treasured members of our school community today and two other members of our community are injured.”

The school continued, “We pray for all the families and friends of those involved.”

“We also pray for our own school community, that we may find the strength to support each other and carry on.

“We ask for your support, prayers, and also the space to grieve as a school community.”

We’re keeping those affected in our thoughts during this heartbreaking time.
