Check your numbers – there’s one hell of a prize up for grabs.

The winner of the bank holiday weekend Lotto jackpot, which was worth a tidy €8.3 million, is being encouraged to come forward.

The National Lottery has revealed that the winning ticket was sold in Dunnes Stores in Bishopstown near Cork City.

The winning numbers were 3, 4, 5, 19, 26, and 43, and the bonus number was 24.

“This is certainly a bank holiday to remember for a lucky player or players,” said National Lottery CEO Dermot Griffin.

“This is one of the highest Lotto jackpot wins of the year and we are delighted for the Rebel County.

“We are urging all our players to check their tickets and for the lucky winner to keep the ticket safe until they get to contact one of our claims team.”

It’s not the first time a winning ticket has been bought at Dunnes Stores in Bishopstown – the shop sold winning tickets for two successive draws in 2001.

The win brings to 174 the number of Lotto jackpot wins in Cork over the past three decades.

Cork is the 15th-luckiest county for Lotto wins in Ireland.

There have been 1,744 wins totalling over €2.5 billion cross the country in the past thirty years
