It’s George Michael week on The X Factor.
The show’s bosses have been moving away from the traditional weekly themes and trying out new one this series and we’re definitely not complaining.
The acts will tonight be honouring George, who passed away on Christmas Day last year.
His stellar back catalogue means that while there’ll be no recent songs on the show, you’ll be able to sing along with most of what you hear.
Here’s what each act is singing.
Kevin Davy White – Fast Love
Matt Linnen – Careless Whisper
Rak-Su – Faith
The Cutkelvins – Killer/Papa was a Rolling Stone
Sean and Conor Price – Freedom! 90
Jack and Joel – Edge of Heaven
Grace Davies – I Can’t Make You Love Me
Holly Tandy – One More Try
Rai-Elle Williams – They Won’t Go When I Go
Alisah Bonaobra – Praying For Time
Lloyd Macey – A Different Corner
Sam Black – I’m Your Man
We’re just relieved the show is going ahead at all as a number of contestants were reportedly struck down with a bug earlier this week.
The Price brothers, Matt Linnen and Holly Tandy all fell ill but are thought to be well enough to perform.
“They’re all having early nights and resting their bodies and voices,” a show insider said.
“We can’t afford to have no-shows – there are two double evictions, so four acts are going to get the boot.”
