What a way to start the weekend.

Nobody managed to win the €55 million EuroMillions jackpot or the €500,000 EuroMillions Plus prize last night – but someone in Ireland did strike it rich in the Ireland Only Raffle.

That’s right: thanks to the Ireland Only Raffle’s guaranteed prize tonight, someone is kickstarting the weekend €1 million richer.

National Lottery bosses have now confirmed the winning Raffle ticket number – as well as the location where the ticket was purchased.

The lucky €1 million-winning raffle ticket number is I-DWT-10900. It was purchased at  Spar Ballybrit, Galway Technology Park, Co. Galway.

It comes as one lucky Irish player won the €500,000 EuroMillions Plus jackpot last month.

The player, who won in the draw on June 19, bought their Normal Play ticket online on the National Lottery app and is the 15th winner of the Plus top prize so far this year.

The winning numbers for the EuroMillions Plus draw were 15, 17, 19, 28 and 39. The EuroMillions jackpot of €36,158,964 was won by a lucky ticketholder in France.

A spokesperson to the National Lottery said:

“One of our lucky online players woke up on [the following] morning to an email informing them inform them that they should contact the National Lottery having won a €500,000 EuroMillions Plus top prize!”
