The hero creche worker who was seriously injured in the Parnell Square stabbing has been released from hospital.

According to reports,  Leanne Flynn Keogh left the hospital just before Christmas.

She was one of four victims of the stabbing attack that occurred shortly after 1.30 pm outside Gaelscoil Coláiste Mhuire in Parnell Square East on November 23rd.

The other three were a five-year-old boy and two girls aged five and six. The five-year-old girl remains in hospital, while the other two children have been discharged.

The incident sparked a chain reaction of events leading to the widely condemned night of rioting in the city centre.

Now, multiple outlets are reporting that Ms Keogh is out of hospital as well.

It is reported that she spent a week in the intensive care unit at The Mater Hospital after the attack before later being transferred to a high-dependency unit.

She was subsequently discharged from the hospital just in time for Christmas, the outlets also state.

Earlier this month, the mum of the five-year-old victim shared a hopeful update.

Her mum thanked the public for their support during what has been a harrowing time for their family.

The girl’s mother confirmed that the child was moved from ICU, but has to relearn everything because of her injury.

She explained that the girl has now entered the third phase of her recovery.

In an update on GoFundMe, the mum said: “Hi everyone, our darling girl has now entered the 3rd phase of her recovery.

“This will be the longest as she will relearn everything as a result of her injury.

“She has done really well thus far and the medical team is very happy with her improvement.

“Once again, she is so strong and we are proud to be by her side supporting her, guiding her, and, above all, loving her every step of the way.”
