JIHADI JUNIOR: ‘He’s just a small boy, bring him home’

A London-based grandfather has identified his four-year-old grandson as the child featured in a gruesome Islamic State propaganda video. Sunday Dare says little Isa Dare, dubbed Jihadi Junior, was taken to Syria by his mother, Grace, in 2012. This week the child was shown wearing an Isis bandana and combat gear in an 11-minute film. Looking at the camera, the child says: “We are going to go kill the kafir [non-believers] over there.”

The video shows five men wearing orange jumpsuits being executed by a man with a British accent who said he had a “message for Cameron”, threatening further terrorist attacks in the United Kingdom. Grace Dare, who was raised a Christian in Lewisham, South East London, changed her name to Khadijah after converting to Islam as a teenager and later becoming radicalised. She is believed to have married Isis fighter Abu Bakr, who was later killed. The 24-year-old former media studies student has previously stated she hopes to become the first woman to behead a hostage. Appealing to his daughter to bring the child back to the UK, Mr Dare sent her the following message in The Sun: "Come home, we love you, come and face the music.
