A source told The Mirror that they may appear close on screen, but things behind the scenes are completely different. The duo has had multiple issues in the past but always managed to work through them. However, Holly has firmly distanced herself from Schofield recently. Now it appears that Holly knew nothing about Phil's statement and has been blindsided following the reports that their friendship is over.
The team behind This Morning is aware of the rift between them and has noticed the pair drift apart since the queue-skipping scandal and Schofield's brother's court case.
Timothy Schofield, 54, was charged with 11 sexual offences involving a child between October 2016 and October 2019.
A jury found him guilty on all counts after more than 5.5 hours of deliberation.
He denied the charges but was convicted of three counts of causing a child to watch sexual activity, three counts of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child, three counts of causing a child to engage in sexual activity and two counts of sexual activity with a child.
