It’s hotter in Ireland than Madrid today as Met Éireann predict highs of 22 degrees

Gimme them sweet, sweet rays.

Last week, it was cold. It was blustery, it was windy, there was even hail at one point, probably.

And look at us now.

There’s sun, there’s clear skies, there’s a low pollen count despite the fact that it’s glorious outside meaning that everybody – even the hay fever sufferers – can enjoy this stunning weather.

Lucky us.

And what’s more is that this bank holiday Sunday – Easter Sunday, nonetheless – it’s even hotter in Ireland than it is in Madrid.

And like, probably lots of other places too but Madrid is the main one so we’ll just go with that.

According to Met Éireann’s predictions, it’s going to hit highs up to 22 degrees in some parts of the country today, with the rest settling at a very respectable 16 degrees.

The fog that has plagued parts of the country will start to clear, leaving blue skies, sunshine rays, and general delight as everybody basks in the glow of pre-summer.

There may be a few patchy points with the odd bit of drizzle left over from the clouds, but nothing that’s going to stop you heading out to the beach, to the park, or to the pub.

Don’t worry.

It’s a stunning out there, lads.

Nothing can take that away from you.
