Some great deals for shoppers and all for a great cause.

Shoppers at the Blanchardstown Centre in Dublin will be able to avail of discounts of up to 20% in selected stores this Saturday and Sunday.

Donate for Discounts Weekend at Blanchardstown Centre was launched by Kathryn Thomas this week, with Blanchardstown shoppers able to avail of discounts in selected stores once they purchase a €3 wristband at the centre on Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28.

All proceeds raised from the sale of the wristbands will go to ISPCC Childline and there will be a number of events taking place to entertain shoppers over the course of the two days, including fashion masterclasses and entertainment by the Halleluiah Gospel Choir.

ISPCC Childline will hold information sessions about supports the charity offers to children and shoppers can donate to the charity via a number of collection points around Blanchardstown Centre.

80% of ISPCC services are funded by donations from the general public and all funds raised at Blanchardstown Centre will ensure that the ISPCC can continue to help and protect the children throughout Ireland and be there for them, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The ISPCC provides a range of services to children and young people and their families. Every year, its Childline service receives over 400,000 contacts from children through its phone, text and online services.

The Childline phone service is available 24 hours a day, for any child who needs to talk, while the ISPCC also provides childhood support and mentoring services directly to children. The ISPCC also provides the Missing Children’s Helpline in Ireland.

Commenting on the upcoming weekend at Blanchardstown Centre, ISPCC Interim CEO Caroline O’Sullivan said: “We would like to thank Blanchardstown Centre and all of the stores within the Centre for supporting this amazing event.

“I would also like to thank Kathryn Thomas on behalf of the ISPCC for launching this campaign and all of the wonderful volunteers who are helping to raise funds. Your work will be a part of every text and call we answer.”
