Husband of Texas shooting victim Irma Garcia dies of fatal heart attack

Absolutely heartbreaking.

Teacher Irma Garcia was one of the 21 victims of the recent school shooting in Texas. In a heartbreaking turn of events it is now being reported that her husband, Joe Garcia, has died after suffering a sudden heart attack. The couple were parents to four children.

Ernie Zuniga of KAAB news in San Antonio, Texas first broke the news of Joe's passing on Twitter.

"Joe Garcia, the husband of Irma Garcia, one of two teachers shot and killed in Uvalde, TX on Tuesday, has reportedly suffered a fatal heart attack. Joe and Irma were high school sweethearts and married 24 years. They leave behind four children."

Subsequently, Irma Garcia's nephew, John Martinez, also shared a post about the shocking and sudden passing of Joe Garcia on Twitter.

"EXTREMELY heartbreaking and come with deep sorrow to say that my Tia Irma's husband Joe Garcia has passed away due to grief, I truly am at a loss for words for how we are all feeling, PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR FAMILY, God have mercy on us, this isn't easy."

  Garcia was one of two teachers that were killed in the school shooting incident at the Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. 19 young children, all under the age of 11 also perished in one of the most horrific mass shootings the United States has seen. The school shooting at Robb Elementary School has been strongly compared to the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting that happened ten years ago in 2012.
