‘I had so many questions’ – Pippa Middleton just confirmed her pregnancy

Melissa Carton

Exciting times for the Middletons as Pippa confirms that she is pregnant with her first child.

Sister to Duchess Kate, Pippa is expecting her first child a year after her wedding to former professional racing driver James Matthews.

The news comes after weeks of speculation that there may be a baby on board for the author and columnist.

The mum to be has said that fortunately, she is not suffering from the same severe morning sickness as her big sister.

Kate, who is well known to have had hyperemesis gravidarum, had to be hospitalised during stages of all her pregnancies.

Pippa recently wrote in her Waitrose Weekend magazine column.

“I was lucky to pass the 12-week scan without suffering from morning sickness. That meant I was able to carry on as normal. This being my first pregnancy, I had so many questions I felt were still unanswered.”

The 34-year-old who is known for her love of fitness also spoke about how she will be making changes to her usual fitness regime.

This being her first pregnancy, she is worried about overexerting herself and feels that she needs to cut back.

“When I learned the happy news that I was pregnant I realised I needed to adjust my 4 to 5-day-a-week routine. I wanted to know things like – would I strain if I served in tennis? Are all strokes of swimming safe? Can I still do a normal yoga class if I avoided certain positions?

It’s particularly hard in the early months when you don’t really want to share the news with everyone, not even your class instructor.”

Pippa, who is due in October is said to be overjoyed with her pregnancy and we imagine the rest of the Middleton clan are too.

Best of luck and congratulations to Pippa and James, we can’t wait to hear more.
