Irish children’s animation starring Ardal O’Hanlon to be shown worldwide

Nelly and Nora will premiere on RTEjr on February 2nd

An Irish children’s animation voiced by Father Ted star Ardal O’Hanlon has secured a worldwide distribution deal.

Nelly and Nora is the latest programme by Geronimo Productions, also the company behind Punky, a series which tells stories from the everyday life of a little girl who has Down syndrome.

Nelly and Nora will premiere on RTEjr on February 2nd and on BBC (CBeebies) in May. BBC Worldwide has International Distribution for the rest of the world and the programme will also be shown at Kidscreen 2015, the children’s entertainment summit, in Miami next month.

O’Hanlon plays Nelly and Nora’s father in the animated TV show, with the main characters played by Clodagh Kane and Aoibhinn Mc Auley.
