Jaime King announces birth with cute family Instagram snap

Pearl Harbour actress Jaime King has taken to Instagram to announce the arrival of her second son with husband Kyle Newman. The former model, 36, posted this intimate snap of the young family, including 20-month-old James, in their hospital room following the birth on July 16, adding the caption: 'We are SO happy to welcome to the world our new baby boy!'

The couple have yet to reveal their son's name, but he does have a very famous godmother. King chose pop star and close friend Taylor Swift to do the honours.

King, who endured several miscarriages and had fertility treatment before conceiving a second time, hit out at the "body-shaming" media during her pregnancy. Speaking to American Baby magazine, she said:

“People have made comments about how I’m too thin and need to eat a sandwich. I’ve seen it happen with other pregnant women in this business too — we’re either too thin or put on too much weight. “But every woman’s body is different,” she continued. “All that matters is that you’re taking care of the nutrition for yourself and your child.” [caption id="attachment_222169" align="alignleft" width="525"] Instagram/jaime_king[/caption]
