Jamie Lomas may only just have left the jungle, but he’s already thinking about his next move.

Fresh from his second-place finish on I’m A Celebrity, he has said he’d like to revisit his character on EastEnders.

He played Jake Stone, an alcoholic who had an affair with Lauren Branning, on the soap from 2013 to 2014 and would “love” to return to the role, according to Digital Spy.

“I’d love to go back to EastEnders,” he said. “I had an amazing time with the people there. I still have some fantastic friends there.”

Jake’s addiction was a big draw for him as an actor, he added.

“I had such a fantastic character to play. When you’re playing someone with a drinking problem, you have to do it justice for the people who are suffering.

“I studied alcoholism at length. And I’m forever grateful to EastEnders for giving me that opportunity.”

Jamie narrowly missed out on winning the 17th season of I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here when Georgia “Toff” Toffolo was crowned Queen of the Jungle last night.

He quit Hollyoaks last month after playing Warren Fox on the soap between 2006 and 2011 and again between 2016 and this year.
