“We are parting ways in marriage”
Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet have announced their separation.
The couple, who were together for 16 years, said they are setting each other “free”.
In a joint statement, the actor said they may be splitting up, but their love will evolve.
“We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times… A revolution is unfolding ~and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring.”
“And so~ We share our Family news~ That we are parting ways in marriage.”
The couple said they aren’t sharing this update because it is “newsworthy”, but “so that- as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty.”
“The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other to be who we are learning to become.”
The pair added, “Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life and our children.”

The Game of Thrones actor married Bonet in 2017.
Momoa and Bonet started dating after meeting through mutual friends at a jazz club in 2005.
They shared two children together.
In 2007, Bonet gave birth to their daughter Lola. Their second child, a son named Nakoa-Wolf was born in December 2008.
Bonet is also a mum to actress Zoe Kravitz.
