Jennifer Aniston is reportedly “happy to have Brad Pitt back in her life” – but as a friend, and that’s it.
The exes sent just about everyone into a frenzy earlier this month, when they ran into each other backstage at the SAG reunions – and there were the photos to prove it.
Each one of the stars had won in their respective categories: Pitt for Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood; Aniston for The Morning Show.
And while the photos led fans to wonder if a possible reconciliation was on the cards, an insider has clarified to PEOPLE that the actress is “not dating Brad.”
“Jen was happy for Brad,” they said. “They congratulated each other and that was it.”
They added that it was an “emotional night”, but that the two stars – who were married for five years before divorcing in 2005 – are not dating.
“They are friends and happy for each other. They want nothing but happiness for each other,” the source continued. “She is happy to have Brad back in her life as a friend, but that’s it.”
Guess that settles it, so.
Brad and Jen first met in 1998 and married in a private ceremony in 2000.
They announced their separation in 2005 and Brad went on to beginning dating and eventually wed Angelina Jolie after admitting that he “fell in love” with her on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith.
They announced their divorce in 2016.
Jen began dating actor Justin Theroux in 2011 before marrying him four years later. They announced their separation at the end of 2017.
