Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson becomes a dad for the second time

Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson has welcomed his second child with husband Justin Mikita, announcing they had their second child via surrogacy.

The couple announced the happy news on Instagram, revealing their new son’s name to be Sullivan Louis Ferguson-Mikita.

Sharing the news on Instagram on Tuesday, the actor wrote: “Sad to be away from my @takemeoutbway fam tonight but we ran off to welcome our newest little one Sullivan Louis Ferguson-Mikita.

“A special thanks to @drshahinghadir for helping us grow our family & our incredible surrogate and all of the nurses and doctors. We are overjoyed to be a family of four.

“My incredible understudy @timmytwright will be on tonight and tomorrow and I will be back in the ball game on Thursday 11/7. I know Tim has you all in wonderful hands. GO EMPIRES!”

Jesse announced back in May that he and Justin were expecting their second child together, writing at the time:“@justinmikita and I have some exciting news, we’re expecting number 2! Our growing family will be a family of four later this fall! We are so excited for Beckett to have a sibling.”

The couple welcomed their first child Beckett on July 7th, 2020, seven years after the two got married.

Jesse and Justin announced they were engaged back in September of 2012, two years after they had started dating and on July 20th, 2013, they tied the knot in Manhattan, New York as playwright and screenwriter Tony Kushner officiated their wedding.
