The retailer has finally shared the 2021 Christmas advert and it is so wholesome and sweet.
The moving advert is titled Unexpected Guest and sees a young boy meet a young alien during the holidays.
When Skye’s spaceship crashes into the woods 14-year-old boy Nathan helps show the alien what Christmas is all about.
Fans have praised the ad for its touching nod to the movie ET.
The advert is full of festive joy and charm, showing viewers the true magic of Christmas.
Nathan introduces the space traveller to classic Christmas traditions like decorating the tree and eating mince pies.
The pair develop a special bond by sharing the Christmas spirit together.
The message behind this year’s advert is to show the public the magic of Christmas through the eyes of someone experiencing it for the very first time.
20-year-old singer Lola Young covers Phil Oakey and Giorgio Moroder’s 1984 hit Together in Electric Dreams in this year’s ad.
Fans praised the John Lewis advert for reminding us what Christmas is really about.
“I’m sat crying again… every year. It’s the song I swear,” one shared.

The John Lewis advert comes just after Disney released their beautiful 2021 ad.
