He deleted the videos because the Internet isn’t the same.

Jonathan Joly has opened up about why he deleted all of his old YouTube videos.

The dad recently removed over 12 years of videos from his family’s YouTube account.

However, he has since uploaded it to the account.

He explained that the Internet isn’t the same place it once was.

But the dad has now asked his followers if he should re-upload the videos.

Earlier this month, the YouTuber told Newstalk that things have changed for his family.

“We have a 10-year-old now and things are different, things are changing. We’ve been parents for 10 years as well, so we will obviously do a lot of things differently than we did before.

“Our two youngest kids are the age that our two oldest kids were during the peak of when we did YouTube.

“And I just think, it’s not right to do it anymore.”

Writing on Instagram, the dad asked, “I took all my YouTube videos down cause I thought it was the right thing to do but now I’m getting so much push back and I’m not sure what to do.”

“Will I put them back?” he asked.

The dad has been called out for exploiting his children in the YouTube videos. Many people believe it is unfair to film them when they are so young.

One Twitter user tweeted, “If the internet ‘is not as safe as it was’ why has Jonathan Joly left up all his Tiktoks and Instagram pictures of the children.

“Surely if he says the internet is not as safe as it was, those Tiktoks and Instagram pictures and videos also need to be deleted?”

The dad is planning on re-uploading some of his old videos including ones of his children’s birthdays and Christmas vlogs.
