"I'm open [to film roles], but I'm just taking it one day at a time," he continued. "I'm producing documentaries, that's what I'm interested in right now."
In a statement last week, Chambers revealed that he had left the show - with multiple reports saying that his episode has finally aired.
“There’s no good time to say goodbye to a show and character that’s defined so much of my life for the past 15 years,” he said. “For some time now, however, I have hoped to diversify my acting roles and career choices. And, as I turn 50 and am blessed with my remarkable, supportive wife and five wonderful children, now is that time.”
Karev was last seen in Grey's 350th episode, which aired on November 14. In the following episode, it was mentioned that he had gone home to take care of his sick mother.
