Kate Hudson gives birth to a baby girl and her name has a very special meaning

Kate Hudson has announced the news that she's welcomed her third child into the world on Instagram. Yes, the actress shared the news with fans with a very simple post, revealing that she had welcomed a baby girl.

"She's here," she captioned the post.

In her post, Kate also revealed her little girl’s name and the reason she and new dad Danny Fujikawa chose it.

“Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa,” is the newborn’s name. “We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa,” Kate said. “Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honour.”

The mum-of-three also gave an update as to how she and the family are doing since the birth of baby Rani on Tuesday, saying:

“Everyone is doing well and happy as can be. “Our family thanks you for all the love and blessings that have been sent our way and we send ours right back.”

Kate is already mum to two boys from her previous relationships with Matt Bellamy and Chris Robinson.
