Kate Middleton chose to stay with her children when Queen Elizabeth was dying.
A source has revealed that Kate Middleton felt it was right to be with her children during the harrowing time.
The expert claims it would’ve been wrong for Kate to leave her three children and travel to Scotland. Following Queen Elizabeth’s passing, rumours circulated claiming Kate wasn’t invited to be by the Queen’s bedside.
However, they were not true.
The mum-of-three wanted to be with her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
A source told OK!
“Kate would have felt it was way more important to be with her children, one of whom one day will be monarch, and to explain what was going on and what was breaking in the press and why daddy wasn’t there.”
Kate understood that it would be too much for her to go see Queen Elizabeth with Prince William and all of the Queen’s children.
“As a non-blood member of the family, where were her resources best placed at that moment?” she said. “Kate wasn’t desperate to be there.”
Her only grandchildren present were Prince William and Prince Harry.
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie also weren’t there.
King Charles and Princess Anne were by her side when she passed away.
