Actress Katherine Heigl and her musician husband Josh Kelley have welcomed their third child, a baby boy named after his daddy – awwww!
Baby Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. is a brother to Nancy Leigh (8) (who also goes by the cute name Naleigh), and Adalaide Marie Hope (4). Katherine and Josh adopted their eldest daughter Nancy from South Korea in 2009 when she was nine months old and Adelaide was adopted three years later in the US. Heigl’s own sister, Meg, was also adopted from Korea.
The stunning actress previously shared her experience of being pregnant for the first time:
“We were considering adoption again, fostering, or pregnancy if possible. Seeing as I have never been pregnant and as my OB/GYN reminded me last year, I’m of advanced maternal age, I wasn’t sure pregnancy was even in the cards for us. Turns out it was very much in the cards!”
The couple have managed to keep their baby news quiet (a major achievement in Hollywood) until now, as a representative told People that Joshua Bishop was born last month on Tuesday, December 20th:
“The Kelley clan is thrilled to announce that we are expecting a third addition to our family. Naleigh and Adalaide could not be more excited to welcome their new sibling into the fold, and Josh and I are overflowing with joy and gratitude.
This is an incredibly exciting time for us filled with hope, anticipation and hormones. Well, only I’m filled with hormones, but everyone in the family gets to enjoy them.
We couldn’t be more excited to be able to finally share this news with our fans, and are looking forward to continuing to share the journey with you all.”
December must have been a particularly joyful month for the family as Katherine and her hubby also celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary on December 23rd. Congratulations all round!
