Katy Perry welcomed her daughter in August 2020.

Katy Perry has opened up about why she doesn’t want a full-time nanny for her daughter Daisy.

The singer and her partner Orlando Bloom have a 2-year-old daughter together but despite their busy schedules, the parents don’t want to get full-time help.

Perry explained that she will always put her daughter first.

She told the SmartLess podcast: “I have a wonderful nanny, but I don’t have a full-time nanny because I feel like if I had a full-time nanny, I would never be able to know how to care for my daughter like I’m meant to.”

“It doesn’t matter if I’ve had a show that goes to 11 pm the night before, I’m waking up at 6 o’clock and we’re gonna go and do breakfast,” the Teenage Dream singer explained.

The singer explained that she finds it hard when she misses out on special milestones with her daughter.

She shared, “The other day she was saying some words that I didn’t teach her, and I was like “Damn it. That doesn’t feel good'”

Perry said she always makes a “conscious effort” to spend quality time with her toddler even if she has the “no-sleep shakes”.

She gave birth to her daughter Daisy in August 2020.

Daisy is her first child with partner Orlando Bloom. Perry’s husband also shares a son with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
