The family of the late Keith Conlon has paid tribute to him after his harrowing death.

The dad died from his injuries after he was shot in Tallaght on Tuesday, February 22nd.

The father of four was shot in the head on farmland in Tallaght. His dog was also killed in the incident.

He was rushed to the hospital but sadly died from his injuries on February 24th.

The shooting occurred off Blessington Road, in Hazel Grove, Tallaght.

It is believed a 53-year-old legal professional fired the shots at both Mr. Conlon and his dog.

It is understood Mr. Conlon remained on life support to facilitate organ donation.

He was then pronounced dead yesterday afternoon.

A man in his 50s was arrested in relation to the incident and he remains in Garda custody.

According to reports, a fight broke out between the two men because Keith’s dog was on the land.

The man fired warning shots at the dog, but then killed him.

He started arguing with Keith and his friends and then shot the dad in the head.

His family says his life was “robbed” from him.

Keith’s sister penned an emotional tribute to her brother following his death.

She wrote, “How are any of us supposed to move on without him?”

Keith, nicknamed Bono, has been remembered fondly by all of his loved ones, as well as his neighbours. He was described as a “lovely” and “harmless” man.

His sister added, “How are we going to cope without our Bono? Love you forever and ever bro. Never gonna get over you.”

Keith is survived by his four children. His partner Janet just gave birth to his fourth child in January.

Their newborn daughter Everleigh is less than two months old, according to reports.
