She says she felt her comments were “a bit harsh”.

Kerry Katona has said that she regrets commenting on Molly-Mae Hague’s baby name, after the Love Island shared that she received nasty comments about her decision.

Molly-Mae and her partner Tommy Fury chose the name Bambi for their daughter.

In her column for OK! Magazine, Kerry urged the parents to reconsider their name choice, but she has since taken those comments back.

Shortly after Molly-Mae shared the baby’s name, Kerry wrote: “I think Bambi Fury sounds a bit ridiculous. It reminds me of the Disney film where the mother gets shot!”

She also said that she thought Bambi would get “stick” at school for her name.

Now, however, Kerry has said that she regrets weighing in.

Taking to Instagram this week, she tagged Molly-Mae and said she thought her column was actually “a bit harsh”, and that she has come around to the name.

“I was trying to be a comedian and sometimes when you mix the two it doesn’t come across very well,” she said. “Bambi Fury is a great name.”

She then said it was never her intention to “bully” or “hurt” anybody.

“I’m not that kind of person in the slightest,” she said. “Sometimes I’ll say something that I think is funny and it actually isn’t.”

Kerry’s comments come after Molly-Mae spoke about the nasty remarks she has seen online concerning her daughter’s name.

In her vlog, the new mum said: “I know it’s unusual and unique and not going to be to everyone’s taste, so when we announced it, in my mind… it’s a beautiful name. And then two seconds later, I was like, “Oh my God!”’

She said the backlash reminded her of how nasty people can be, but she said they won’t stop her from appreciating the “most precious gift in the world”.
