Kids’ flip flops recalled due to harmful chemicals after thousands sold in Ireland

An urgent recall has been issued for Hoot Girls Printed Flip Flops due to the presence of potentially dangerous chemicals.

The brand is Hoot, the affected model number is TOY5313/OB, with a batch number 12034 and barcode 5056283853135.

It is understood that around 3,096 units of this product have been sold in the Republic of Ireland and parents are being urged to be careful.

Phthalates are chemicals used to increase the flexibility of plastics. Exposure to high levels can harm children's health by potentially damaging their reproductive systems. 

Parents are being advised to stop using the flip flops immediately and ensure they are kept out of children's reach.

You should return the flip flops to the place of purchase for a full refund - no receipt is necessary.
