Lady Gaga admits she wanted people to believe she was in love with Bradley Cooper IRL

Let’s be honest, we all believed it.

Throughout the media tour, throughout the interviews and definitely throughout their performance at the Oscars, we all believed something was going on with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.

Well, it turns out it was fake… but both performers wanted you to think it was real.

In a recent interview with Elle, Oprah spoke to Lady Gaga about her career and they touched on A Star Is Born.

Oprah very casually mentions that she was in Bradley’s house the other day which leads them talking to about the love he has for his daughter… and then the fake love he had for Lady Gaga.

Oprah said: “We were talking about all the rumours about you guys last year. He said if they had been true, he never would have been able to look you in the eye sitting at that piano,” to which Lady Gaga replied: “Absolutely, absolutely.”

Gaga went onto say that to everyone looking, she wanted them to believe they were the real deal but it was very much an “orchestrated performance.”

“I mean, we made a love story” she said. “For me, as a performer and as an actress, of course we wanted people to believe that we were in love. And we wanted people to feel that love at the Oscars.

“We wanted it to go right through the lens of that camera and to every television that it was being watched on. And we worked hard on it, we worked for days. We mapped the whole thing out—it was orchestrated as a performance.”

Good to know, then.
