Prince Harry and Meghan introduce Lilibet to Queen Elizabeth for the first time

Lilibet turns 1 tomorrow and will celebrate with the Queen.

Queen Elizabeth has met her great-granddaughter Lilibet for the first time.

According to reports, Prince Harry and Meghan introduced the Queen to her namesake on Thursday afternoon.

The parents attended a private lunch with the 96-year-old.

Prince Harry and Meghan joined senior royals for a meal during the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations.

Their children, Archie and Lilibet, also attended the private event.

The family event took place behind closed doors at Buckingham Palace.

It took place after the royals made a public appearance at Trooping the Colour.

Prince Harry and Meghan are keeping a low profile over the weekend.

They will host a private family party for their daughter Lilibet on Saturday, June 4th.

Queen Elizabeth will attend the special celebration at Frogmore Cottage.

Close friends and family will attend the celebration including Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

However, William and Kate are skipping the event because of prior engagements.

This is the first time Queen Elizabeth has met her namesake as the family hasn’t been able to travel during the pandemic.

This is the first time Prince Harry, Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet have been in England together.

Prince Harry was also nervous about traveling to the UK without protection.

The dad-of-two was concerned for his family’s safety, but the Queen has ensured they have adequate protection during their trip.
