Lisa Marie was a singer in her own right, and released three albums throughout her career – To Whom It May Concern (2003), Now What (2005) and Storm & Grace (2012).
Her last public appearance was at the Golden Globes earlier this week, where Austin Butler was awarded Best Actor in a Motion Picture for portraying her father in Baz Luhrmann's Elvis.
In accepting his award, he thanked Lisa Marie and Priscilla, saying: "Thank you, guys. Thank you for opening your hearts, your memories, your home to me. Lisa Marie and Priscilla, I love you forever."
Since news of her passing was announced, a number of tributes have been coming in.
A statement from Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson read: "Our hearts are broken with the sudden and shocking passing of Lisa Marie Presley tonight.... It's too much."
On Instagram, John Travolta wrote: "Lisa baby girl, I'm so sorry. I'll miss you but I know I'll see you again."Explore more on these topics:
