Gardaí believe she was killed days before her body was found.

Gardaí fear Lisa Thompson may have been dead for days before her body was found.

The mum-of-two was found dead in her Ballymun home on Tuesday, May 10th.

Gardaí believe the mum may have been stabbed to death days before they were alerted.

However, they stressed that they are still following all lines of inquiry.

According to The Irish Mirror, Gardaí think the mum may have invited the suspect into her home.

But they have yet to find a motive behind the woman’s death.

Gardaí are calling for anyone with information to come forward.

Speaking at Ballymun Garda Station, Superintendent Darren McCarthy said; “I would like to thank the community for the cooperation and assistance received so far.”

“I appeal to anyone with any information on this violent murder to contact us at Ballymun Garda station. No matter how insignificant you think it may be, we need to hear from you.

“Lisa’s death occurred sometime before the discovery of her body in her home yesterday at 3.30pm.

“I am appealing to any person with information on Lisa’s movements from Saturday 7th May 2022 up to yesterday Tuesday 10th May 2022 to contact us.

Anyone with video footage should also come forward.

You can contact Gardaí in Ballymun Garda Station at 01 6664400.
