The best friends are back together again.
A four-year-old girl’s puppy has been reunited with her family after seemingly being returned by the same thieves who stole her.
Eight-week-old Labrador Sasha was taken during a burglary at a home in Melbourne, Australia, on Monday morning, along with a laptop, some jewellery and an iPad.
According to the BBC, the Hood family said they were “devastated” to find out that the thieves took the puppy, who was four-year-old Maia’s “best friend”.
Little Sasha, who the family said had a medical condition that needed attention, was only with the Hood’s for a week when she was taken.

The family launched an appeal for information about the puppy’s whereabouts, capturing the attention of the country before the puppy was discovered days later.
Maia’s dad, Ryan, told Australia’s Today morning programme:
“We didn’t want to get our hopes up. And then this morning, my wife got up to make herself a coffee, walked past the sliding door, and noticed that there was a figure moving by the kennel.
“We think that whoever took her has either has a conscience or got scared and just dropped her over the fence … we don’t care to be honest, we’re just glad to have her back.”
According to Ryan, Sasha has developed a “fascination for shoes” during her short absence – but is otherwise in good health.
