Lottie Ryan has opened up about her son’s premature birth.

The Dancing with the Stars champion gave birth to her baby boy 8 weeks early. Her son Wolf was born in June 2021 and the mum admitted his birth was the “scariest” experience.

Speaking about her baby boy Wolf’s birth, she told RSVP, “It was probably the scariest thing I have ever been through.

“I don’t mean to scaremonger about labour because every mother’s experience is quite individual.”

Despite his scary arrival into the world, little Wolf is “thriving”, his mum gushed.

“He’s absolutely flying it,” Lottie proudly shared.

Both Lottie and her baby boy had to spend time in hospital following his arrival.

Her son spent a couple of weeks in ICU and Lottie was in hospital for some time.

The presenter admitted she didn’t think she was in labour at the time.

“I didn’t think I was in labour because it was eight weeks before my due date and I thought it couldn’t possibly be labour.

“I stayed at home a little bit longer than I should have because I didn’t think it was possible to spontaneously go into labour that early.

“Thankfully, I got to the hospital on time but from the time I walked in the door to when he was born it was under two hours.”

“You are responsible for another person’s life and that is a lot of pressure to have on your shoulders.”

Lottie gave birth to her son, who is her first child, at The Rotunda.

She praised the healthcare workers who safely delivered her son into the world.

At the time of her son’s arrival, she wrote: “The newest member of our little family! Our hearts are so full of joy.

“Forever grateful to the incredible staff at The Rotunda, particularly NICU – there are no words to describe how much we appreciate how well you looked after Wolf.”
