Lottie Ryan is planning an Irish-Italian Christmas
As the festive season rolls around the mum of one is getting ready to honour both her culture and that of her Italian husband Fabio Aprile.
Lottie and Fabio are parents to their two-year-old son Wolf and the couple want their little boy to understand both of their family traditions.
The star spoke to EVOKE as she helped launch The North Portal, an initiative from Glenveagh that helps Santa visit children in Ireland living in homes that don’t have chimneys.
Explaining her plans for the big day Lottie said, “I know I’m going to have to divide my Christmas Day up between my mother’s place and my husband’s mother’s place, you’ve got to keep everybody happy.
“Wolf needs to experience both sides of the family on Christmas Day,’ she said.
“Families have very different ways of celebrating Christmas even just on the food front – Fabio’s family has pasta, and my family has turkey.
“By the end of Christmas Day, I will be filled with 20 million different versions of Christmas dinner.”
It’s going to be a busy day for not only Lottie but her mother Morah as the whole family are planning to rock up to her house to celebrate.
“Everybody’s coming home for Christmas. Elliot is going to be very close to Christmas, Bonnie will come home, I think, a bit before,” she said.
“I would say if we didn’t all end up in my mum’s home on Christmas, my mother would have a conniption. I’d say Bonnie and Elliot were afraid to not book a flight home.”
