Louise Thompson is opening up about her fertility struggles

Former Made In Chelsea star Louise Thompson has revealed she suffered a miscarriage last January.

The mum opened up about her heartbreaking fertility struggles in an emotional post on Instagram.

Louise explained that she suffered the tragic loss in January 2024, but talking about it can be “quite liberating.”

Alongside a photo of a pregnancy test, Louise wrote: “This is not now, this was last January. The night before I got on a flight. As if things needed to get more complicated.”

She said the harrowing loss happened at the height of her health battle.

Louise shared, “The stick in this image is one of those things that I’ve buried. I haven’t allowed myself to give it a second thought. In typical Louise fashion, one trauma has been quickly replaced by another swooping in to take my attention.

“I haven’t even spoken to Ryan about it in much detail either really… but we’ve had our plates full,” she explained.

“It’s crazy to think that Leo could have had a sibling born last September. I doubt that it was ever going to work. Probably a mere chemical pregnancy.

“Whatever it was the change in hormones or blood flow to that area caused the most insane amount of bleeding from my bum in the weeks that followed, and ended up having my stoma surgery as a result. So capiche,” she added.

Louise nearly lost her life during her son Leo’s birth.

Following an emergency C-section, Louise was admitted to intensive care and spent five weeks in the hospital.

The mum said the mental impact of what she went through resulted in her suffering from both PTSD and postnatal anxiety.

She was also diagnosed with Lupus, Asherman’s syndrome, and suffered a second Hemorrhage after her son’s birth.

Louise was also diagnosed with Ulcerative colitis in 2018 and had a stoma bag fitted in 2024.
