Lucy Letby has been charged with murdering 7 babies.
Former nurse Lucy Letby is due to go on trial for the murder of seven babies.
She has also been charged with the attempted murder of ten other babies.
Letby has been accused of murdering five baby boys and two baby girls during her time at Countess of Chester Hospital.
The former nurse appeared in court today at Manchester Crown Court.
The case is expected to last for six months.
Lucy Letby worked as a member of the neonatal unit at Countess of Chester Hospital.
It is believed the murders took place between 2015 and 2016.
However, the name of the victims and their families cannot be made public.
Letby has pleaded not guilty to all 17 charges. She was originally charged with the murder of eight babies.
