Lynn Egar will appear in court next week after being charged with murder of children

Lynn Egar didn’t speaking during her hearing at Mullingar District Court.

The mother of Mikey and Thelma Dennany has been charged with their murder and will appear in court next week.

Last night, 48-year-old Lynn Egar was charged with the murders of Mikey and Thelma Dennany.

The siblings were killed in a horror car fire in Westmeath two weeks ago.

Lynn Egar was also in the car at the time of the fire, but she survived and was taken to hospital.

The mum appeared in Mullingar District Court on Thursday evening.

However, she will appear via video link at the next hearing on Wednesday, September 28th.

She will appear before Athlone District Court.

Egar was granted legal aid at yesteday’s hearing.

The mother did not speak in court, but leaned forward and bowed her head at the start of the hearing.

According to The Irish Mirror, she remained silent throughout the proceedings.

Following the hearing, Egar was taken to the Dochas Centre in Mountjoy Prison.

Mikey and Thelma Dennany were laid to rest on Thursday, September 15th.

The siblings were buried together in a double white coffin.

Speaking at their funeral, Fr Sean Casey told mourners that Thelma and Mikey were inseperable.

He said the siblings shared the most special bond and did everything together.

“They were inseparable in life. In the words of their dad Michael, the only thing that separate them was school as they went their separate ways each morning.”
