A little boy received a spank from a complete stranger much to the surprise of his father, who was with him at the time.
The dad, Logan Morris, from Georgia, was shopping with his two-year-old when the random man gave his son three spanks. The whole scenario unfolded at the checkout counter of a grocery store.
He told local media that his son wanted some sweets but when he said no, a man from the queue stepped in and decided to spank the boy. According to Logan the man then said, "That's how we deal with kids in Mexico."
Logan was so angry that he called the police and the man was arrested. He is currently held in police custody and will face charges of battery, disorderly conduct and child cruelty.
Commenting on the incident, Logan told
WSB-TV 2, "I was shocked. I was astonished. My son just kind of looked at me with his mouth open, just astonished that some random stranger just popped him on the rear end."
The shop also released this statement on the incident, "We are taking this matter very seriously, as providing a safe place for customers to shop is our first and foremost priority at Kroger. We do not tolerate this type of behavior in our stores or on our property. As such, we appreciate our associate's quick action in reporting the incident and contacting authorities. We are working closely with local authorities and will assist in any way we can to support their investigation."
