Gardaí questioned the man after the video went viral.

A man has been questioned by the Gardaí after a video of him and his baby went viral over the weekend.

The Drogheda Independent confirmed that the local Garda brought the man in for questioning.

In the shocking clip, the man dangles the baby, believed to be only 6 weeks old, by the legs.

The man then swings the infant from the feet of his baby-gro in the disturbing clip.

He then lifts the baby up and down multiple times and says “In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit”.

He also flips the baby over roughly in the clip.

It is believed the baby’s mother filmed the video at their home.

She can be heard laughing at her partner’s horrid actions in the background.

She says, “dear God in heaven. Don’t baptise the child like that whatever you do.”

The woman, who is also from Drogheda, can also be heard calling her partner a “bad b******d”.

The shocking video went viral before it was deleted from social media.

It is believed the baby is now being cared for by the State.
